João Kouyoumdjian is featured in the DVD Movimento Violão 2012, alongside guitarists such as Duo Assad, Carlos Barbosa-Lima, Eduardo Isaac and Páblo Marquez. The DVD presents highlights from the 2012 season of Movimento Violão, the most important Brazilian guitar concert series of recent years.


João Kouyoumdjian was featured in the Brazilian TV series "Graduados" ("Graduates"), produced and broadcasted by TV Cultura. The series is about Brazilian students who moved to the US to pursue their dreams in top American universities. The last episode is about The Juilliard School, where João received his Master of Music degree in 2010. It portraits the lives of students, alumni and leaders who attended Juilliard. It also reports the ties between Juilliard and Brazilian music project Guri Santa Marcelina, which João was actively involved in the early stages of its development.


João Kouyoumdjian was featured in SAX Magazine, an arts and culture Brazilian magazine, on the opening page of "Cult Picks" section, a fine selection of the magazines's recommendations.
